It seems like nobody has an excuse anymore to not use a Nicholaz Edition :-)
Yesterday Barney Boomslang and Tillie Ariantho both posted links to Mac builds in the comments for BleedingEdge BE-p. (I almost missed these because this time I didn't receive notifications about new comment, otherwise I would have posted them asap.)
Barney has a version BE-o with a patch application for download. My knowledge about MacOS is close to zero, but I'm sure Mac users can make sense of what he says there.
Tillie has version BE-p as ZIP file with just my viewer binary and the associated xml files (see the Install.txt inside the ZIP file) and another one with "random bits" (again see the comments on my BE-p release notes for the random bits).
Thanks folks, you rock!
Woot! :-)

My Hero!
*kisses bootcamp buh bye*
I made my build when I found Barney's page, which helped me to find the things to change so the compile works.
It's all his work. =)
Am running it now. In places where i was getting 5-6FPS, i'm now getting between 10-15. In place where i used to get 10-15, i'm getting 20+
What a relief!
Great work, all!
Couple of questions:
After I downloaded and installed the RC Viewer, I tried to run the patcher that was the "o" build. It could not find the executable to patch. Even when I pointed it at the Second Life RC in my applications folder.
When I dropped the "p" file from the zip, into the MACOS folder, then the XML in the other location (don't have my mac on so I cant remember the exact name, Resources I think?), the SecondLifeRC would not start up.
What might be the problem?
I do have X11 installed, could that be the issue?
I really want to use these viewers, but unfortunately I had no luck installing them.
:(
ps. I am using a macbook pro 2.4g, with the nvidia graphics.
jacii: You have installed the 1.18.3(5) and placed the files into that folder's subfolders? Wont work with any other SL.
And after having a look into the access log: peeps, this is a MacOSX/Intel version, no universal binary. Wont work for PPC.
For Universal Binary it didn't compile.
I love love love the 1.18.3(4) viewer for Windows! :D ... but I need a 1.18.1(9) or previous build for Mac, or else it won't run in MACOX 10.3.4 ... The 1.18.1(9) SL release was the last thing I could run, and it was awesome-speedy... thanks!
