Hi Folks! Thanks for all the feedback recently and sorry for not answering requests, but RL work didn't leave much headroom for SL.
Anyway, I did make a test compile with 1.19 some time back, and I guess I can implement something based on it (maybe not the full set of Nicholaz features and reversals but most). I'll see if I can do a test with the 1.19 viewer this weekend (thanks Alexandra for mentioning that it went gold! :-)). As said, it will probably be a compromise, but OTOH I guess it'll be better than nothing.
Regarding RestrainedLife features: Sorry, I understand it would be nice, but it would cost time which I simply don't want to spend. I'm already juggling way to many patches and have too many things on my mind.
But check this blog after the weekend for more news about 1.19 and we'll see how it goes from there...
As usual: If you're new to the Nicholaz Editions, please choose version BE-v for a start. If you have your own builds, feel free to advertise them in the comments and if you're interested in other builds, check the comments in this post and the recent ones.

Not sure if this is the best way to contact you, but it seems like EC-b + WindLight 1.18.6 (76116) seems to have got caught in the block against 1.19.0 (4).
At least I can log on with 1.18.5 (3).

Nicholaz - thanks for all your ongoing work with the viewer, its really much appreciated. Hoping you'll be able to come out with something for 1.19 now that its gone "gold" as I hate the thought of going back to the "new" communications GUI! As for "Restrained Life", that's obviously something for a small minority of the community, so hoping that with your limited time to continue to devote to the project that you'll continue with your mainstream work and leave the BDSM to others, rather than let that minority talk you into spending valuable time on that tangent! (It sounds like you're doing exactly that!) Thanks again.

So older Nichlaz builds after he switched over to his own channel should be fine i think?

You have been a sait to many of us in SL whoare tired of LL's crappy viewer de-bugging and awkward code. I want to thank you now for all you have done up to this point.
I hope that events in RL allow you to have a new viewer release to save us from the dreaded, newly-announced, mandatory viewer update.

Ouch, new mandatory viewer update coming, I home Nicholaz finds some time for 1.19 :) Tried cool viewer, but its not as cool as Nicholaz.
at this point, I would almost wait to see how 1.19.1 shakes out, Windlight WILL be standard soon and so far in my hammering 1.19.1 is looking pretty stable.
I get nothing but constant crashes with 1.19... I absolutely despise the Linden Viewers...
I been using the Nicholaz Ed. BE-v for now, non-Windlight. So I can't wait to see what he comes out with when he's ready, to support the Windlight.

Since it is out, i use 18.5.3 with the BE-v Edition. as far as i am concerned, windlighting can wait till 2098. Oh and yes,
1.19.0.4 and similiar... tsk.. i feel reminded of 2006... log in, crash, lather, rinse, repeat.

Boy Lane isn't "leaving ads" or trying to "lure people away". Have you not noticed that Nicholaz himself give reference to Boy's viewers in his entries....
Just a gentle nudge, Nicholaz... I'm sure you're swamped RL, but even if you adjust your current viewer so that it gives the "new" message needed on the 12th and hold off on 1.19 for a bit yet, it'll help a lot.
1.19.1 RC has a stack heap crash every couple hours on vista. I know I'm *definitely* not looking forward to being forced to use the main release next week... :)
Ilana is right, I'm inviting everyone to post their own builds here and am also often pointing people to alternatives myself.
Alexandra: BE-v should continue to run, I've changed the update channel back then when they locked out 1.18.0.6 (even Nicholaz OldSchool should be still running).
