The result is an experimental version, basically EC-e (based on 1.19.1.4) with a few new things.
Here's the excerpt from the change log:
- removed the "New IM" tab
- 768/4096m building, teleporting and 100m prims for OpenSim (thanks to Henri Beauchamp for leading the way)
- backport of a few Linden fixes in 1.20.5 (unbind-Textures and others, not really sure what it is good for precisely, but it looks like it will help some)
- VWR-5308 (performance improvements related to wind-sounds) by Gigs Taggart and Aimee Trescothick
Everybody else who is interested in stable and tested versions, please continue here.
Enjoy ...
Nick

Cool!
Can it be that using the old EC and the BE-v on the same PC (in different folders) makes the graphic settings crosstalk?
So far so good. I haven't use it extensively yet, but I've had no problems with EC-fx.
I'll know better later today when I am able to spend more time in-world and try a variety of activities.
Nicholaz... you Rock!
@peter, yes I have the seme issue too. I guess since they're both using the same channel the configuration settings get reset when starting BE-v and EC.
It's not a biggie for me though, I guess I'll be switching over to EC as my main viewer soon :)
The per-user settings should be different (I think they should be SecondLife\(username)\settings_nicholaz.xml vs settings_nicholaz_EC.xml). But there are global settings (SecondLife\user_settings\settings.xml) which may be used by both).
If someone wants to dig into that and check which files get (over)written when, let me know the results and I'll look into it (I'm sure it'll be one of the two files mentioned above).
Not sure if it is the new EC or just a bad time for SL but i am experincing alot of crashes much more than the old EC and the memory usage went very high again.
Hope it is just SL problems like always and thanks alot Nickolaz for your work
BE AWARE the 100m prim capability for OpenSIM WILL BITE YOU on the SL grid. It will let you 'create' a > 10m prim and let you stretch one as big as 100m, but will snap back the moment you get out of edit mode (spend 20 minutes trying to figure out why a vendor panel I was trying to stretch kept snapping back)
sarwat: bad days like yesterday are always more crash prone, probably even more so with EyeCandy (compared to BleedingEdge). Of course I can't rule out extra bugs, but I wouldn't put too much stress on it if it crashes more on a bad day.
all: regarding the settings, I figured that out, the final EC-f will have the settings separated from the other versions.
